Why maintenance matters in an Alberta winter

Cold starts are hard on an engine, and oil thickens as the temperature drops. Going into the coldest months with fresh oil and a vehicle that has been looked over just makes sense. It's also a good time to book your winter tire changeover and an alignment check in the same visit.

Common Questions

Oil Changes and Maintenance questions.

Does Fix Auto Sherwood North do oil changes?

Yes. With a full time journeyman technician on staff, the shop now offers oil changes, routine maintenance and mechanical repairs, along with its collision repair work.

How often should I change my oil?

Follow the interval in your owner's manual or your vehicle's oil life monitor. Short trips and cold Alberta winters are hard on oil, so many local drivers fall under the severe service schedule.

Can maintenance be done while my car is in for collision repair?

Ask when you book. Taking care of maintenance during the same visit can save you a second trip to the shop.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes. Book online or call (780) 416-3158. The shop is open Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
